At TRUEscan, privacy isn't a feature — it's the foundation. We built this platform to help you verify media without compromising your own data. This policy explains what we process, why, and the controls you have.
1. Data We Process
When you submit media for scanning, TRUEscan processes the file (or fetches the linked source) to run authenticity analysis. Uploaded files are stored temporarily to generate your report and may be retained in your private scan history until you delete them. We do not sell your data, and we never share your media with third parties for marketing purposes.
2. How We Use Your Data
We use your submitted media solely to produce authenticity results and breakdown reports. Account information (email) is used to authenticate you, manage your subscription, and send essential service notifications such as password resets and receipts.
3. Security & Encryption
All data is transmitted over encrypted channels (TLS). Media and reports are stored with end-to-end encryption. We follow industry best practices to protect your information, though no system can guarantee absolute security.
4. GDPR & Your Rights
TRUEscan is GDPR compliant. You have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data. You can delete your entire scan history at any time from the Privacy Center in your dashboard. To exercise any data right, contact us via the Help & Support page.
5. Data Retention
Scan records remain in your private history until you remove them. Account data is retained while your account is active and may be fully deleted upon request. We retain billing records as required by tax and accounting regulations.
6. Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and remember preferences such as your theme. We do not use cookies to sell your data or track you across third-party services. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
